DivX 3.11 Codec

The DivX 3.11 codec is still very popular on the internet for watching video online. This was an Alpha version created in 2000 and the files for the files has been listed as follows.

DivX 3.11 Codec

You will note that the DivX 3.11 is a video codec that was first released in 2001. This codec much like others is used to encode as well as decode digital media. These are for both the video and audio files. Also note that the DivX 3.11 codec is designed to compress video files. This is to reduce their size while maintaining a reasonable standard quality. The DIVX was one of the early versions of the popular codec. It was known for its high compression rate and ability to produce small file sizes. all of this without any significant loss of quality to the video.

When the internet became more accessible the codec was widely used in the early 2000s. This mainly as the sharing of movies and videos over the internet. The codec is still very popular however it has since been superseded by newer versions of the DivX codec. These include but not limited to the DivX 5, DivX 6, and DivX 10 which are now more common. These newer versions as you may expect offers far better compression rates and improved video quality.
