You will note that the CamStudio Lossless Codec (CSCD) which this is. It was designed to provide high-quality video compression with minimal loss of image quality. This was only used in the Camstudio software and nowhere else. There was limited use of the codec. This uses a lossless compression algorithm that preserves every pixel of the original image, resulting in very large file sizes but high-quality output. You can also see other codecs which are also product specific. A good example of this is the GeoVision CCTV MPEG4 Codec as well as the GMP4 Codec for Windows and the ADV1 Loronix Wavelet.
The CSCD codec from CamStudio which is included in the CamStudio software. This will automatically install when you install the CamStudio software on your computer. Once the CSCD codec is installed.
