Question by : XVID Video Codec Question?
I have GIF movie gear installed on my computer.. but it won’t allow me to open any .avi files because i don’t have the XVID codec…i just installed the XP-Codec Pack and the program still isnt allowing me to open .avi files..is there something you have to do so the program registers the codec or something??

You may need to install Xvid directly. http://www.xvid.org

I would think that codec pack has an xvid codec, maybe not though,Restart your computer and try it,it may not register until you do that.If it still doesn’t work, go to http://www.codeccodecs.com/codec-pack-klite.html and get the k-lite codec pack full version.
