Question by kixr: What codec/s do i need for avi files to play on movie maker- they won’t play?
Please help..I’m making a video on windows movie maker & some of the nipped won’t play.. only sound works, they’re avi video clip files?? Thanks

Install this K-Lite codec pack, it has all the codecs that you will ever need to play all kind of videos. http://www.codeccodecs.com/codec-pack-klite.html

Microsoft Windows, WMP, and WMM, prevent users from illegally replicating, or playing “illegally acquired” media content, meaning copy-protected and/or DRM-protected commercial media.
So, no ‘Codex pack’ will help you import and play “Pirated files”, period, because what you are trying to do is illegal, at least in the USA. On the other hand, media content you CREATE yourself works flawlessly, just try it, and you WILL see the difference.
