Question by : Windows Movie Maker ffdshow audio file problem?
Hey everyone, I seem to have a little problem related to my Windows Movie Maker (Version 5.1). I’m a big fan of making videos, but as of late, not really due to the fact that ffdshow is making my music audio files sound distorted and scratchy, it all started to happen when I got my computer back from a virus that occurred a couple weeks ago. I’ve checked through many websites and I have yet to find a clear solution… Does anybody know the reason for this and can help me out make my music audio files sound normal again? Thanks!

I’ve asked some of my colleagues and they believe that your sound card has been slightly damaged by a malicious virus. While the virus may have been removed, it’s affect on your sound card is permanent unfortunately. What you need to do is simply have your sound card replaced and you may as well upgrade it in the process.
