Question by Leah: Windows movie maker come up with an error does anyone know how to fix it?
\Documents and Settings\USER-1\My Documents\veronica mars\Veronica Mars 1×05 – You Think You Know Someone.avi could not be imported. The required codec was not downloaded automatically because the Download codecs automatically check box is not selected in the Options dialog box.I got that when i trying importing the video I had on my computer, does anyone know how I could fix this, either by downloading the codes or changeing the files thing?

just modify it or find the codec on the windows site

You can do one of two things..
Download the K-Lite Codec Pack which basically has all the codecs you will ever need….

or on the Tools Menu click Options then check the Download Codecs Automatically Box…
I dont know why you are trying to view these files in Windows Movie Maker though, if you just want to watch them then either use Windows Media Player or a program called VLC Media Player…
