What is the extension of the files you are trying to import? (after the dot in the name)
im not sure. that hapened to my windows movie maker too
Movie Maker only supports the following video formats: .asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv
If you have a Kodak camera that records MOV format or an Everio camera that makes MOD files… movie maker ain’t gonna do it… codecs or not.
Those files will have to be converted or you’ll need to use a different program. Your camera should have software that came with it. Check that out.
If you use an Everio, try using WinDVD software… even though it does not list MOD files as supported, it will work with them.
